The Bedroom Store proudly supports the community by supporting the following local charities:
Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis: The Bedroom Store co-sponsors 2 major fund raisers annually with the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis.
1. The Buddy Walk in Forest Park unites the St. Louis community and Down Syndrome families for a fun walk in the park. There is food, fun, music and games provided for the children by local businesses and media partners. This is a free event and all donations go directly to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis.
2. Walk in the Park at Busch Stadium is a celebration and thank you for everyone who made the Buddy Walk possible, Down Syndrome families and sponsors are given a once in a lifetime opportunity to walk the warning track at Busch Stadium in front of thousands of local fans. There is also a pregame on field ceremony with Cardinal players to honor the Down Syndrome children and their families that raised the most funds at the Buddy Walk.
Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
Race for the Cure: The Bedroom Store and WIL 92 have been teamed up together to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. The Bedroom Store provides a rest stop at the Annual Race for the Cure that allows participants to wind down after a long day of walking and running. We also cosponsor Team Breadhead with WIL 92. The 2008 team exceeded 3500 participants. All proceeds go directly to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
St. Jude Children’s Charity
Radiothon The Bedroom Store cosponsors a radio fund raiser with WIL 92 that raises over $100,000 to go directly towards research and treatment of childhood cancer and other catastrophic illnesses.
St. Vincent de Paul
Furniture Donation’s: When you purchase bedroom furniture from The Bedroom Store, we will pickup your old bedroom furniture at no charge and donate it to St. Vincent de Paul to be used to help families in need. In 2007 we delivered over 100 bedroom sets to St. Vincent de Paul. When you donate bedroom furniture you will be given a tax deduction receipt that allows you to write off your donated furniture for your annual taxes.
